On 17 October 2023 CSUD Director Jacqueline Klopp with co-authors Agraw Ali and Esthelyne Dusabe from the World Resources Africa Office have a new CityFix Blog on Creating a “Digital Commons” to Harness Data for Africa’s Urban Transport Systems. Drawing on a new open access chapter in Public Policy and Technological Transformations in Africa and using the Digital Transport 4 Africa work as a key case study, they argue for investment in digital data infrastructures and capacities through digital data collectives in African cities to drive, based on good and transparent data, much needed urban transport improvements.
