New Project: Ethical Border Trading between Kenya and Uganda

by | May 22, 2019

Jacqueline Klopp, CSUD co-director, will lead a new project titled “Ethical border trading between Kenya and Uganda for small businesses”. The initiative is funded by Global Integrity and UK Aid (349,533 UK pounds) and will be implemented in partnership with the Busara Center for Behavioural Economics. This work will explore mechanisms to support women traders as they negotiate difficult border crossings, and improve their trade and livelihoods. At the same time, it will examine effectiveness of interventions that leverage a popular market information platform called Sauti Africa.
