Anna Rubbo Recognized for Her Humanitarian Work at UIA Durban

CSUD Adjunct Senior Scholar, Anna Rubbo has been awarded a Vassilis Sgoutas Prize as “founder of the Global Studio and (for) her educational and humanitarian work.” Anna and other winners received their prizes on 6 August at the 25th International Union of Architects (UIA) World Congress in Durban, South Africa.  At the congress, Anna hosted the People Building Better Cities (PBBC) exhibit and gave and organized talks around the focus area “Addressing Informality and/or Poverty through Design Education and Practice”. Next, Anna will bring PBBC to the University of Melbourne (August 19-29) and to Griffith University,  Sept 1.  More information can be found here.
