Anna Rubbo Mentioned for the 2014 UIA Vassilis Sgoutas Prize

Anna Rubbo, adjunct senior scholar at CSUD, has been awarded a mention by the Jury of the International Union of Architects (UIA) for the Vassilis Sgoutas Prize.  This category recognizes ‘architecture serving the most impoverished and the conception of inventive solutions for reducing poverty and indigence’.  Winners will be announced at the 25th UIA World Congress in Durban, South Africa August 3rd – 6th.  Anna and the Global Studio have also been invited to be a UIA Durban program partner.  She will be jointly hosting the People Building Better Cities exhibit and has organized talks around the focus area “Addressing Informality and or Poverty through Design Education and Practice”.
